Merlion

It represents Singapore’s humble beginnings as a fishing village, known in Malay as “Singapura” or “Lion City.” Designed by Alec Fraser-Brunner in 1972, the Merlion attracts millions of visitors annually, offering panoramic views of the cityscape and Marina Bay.
